Pharoah Banded Chrysoprase Necklace

A one-of-a-kind necklace featuring vibrant chrysoprase beads accented with handmade 22-karat-gold beads. The large size of the chrysoprase beads is even more striking because of the unusual clarity of this strand. The rarest and most sought-after form of chalcedony, chrysoprase is prized for its distinctive, saturated green hue. We balanced the strong, cool color with gold beads hand raised from flat sheet and joined together to form the puffy coin shape. The gold beads center at the front and create an oversized stripe pattern within the graduated strand. Each bead is hand knotted on a green silk cord.

The large round shapes in this necklace are pleasing to the eye and evoke the colors and shapes found in Ancient Egyptian necklaces, but with a distinctly modern feel that would be at home worn with a crisp button down, cashmere sweater, or gown.
