Clay Norse Signet Ring

Centering a whiskey tourmaline, the gently rounded form of the Norse signet ring is inspired by the colorful gemstone rings found in Viking caches. Hand-raised from flat gold sheet and made to exactly fit the stone, the ring is finished with a smooth inner band that closes the hollow form and fits comfortably against the finger. This modern, wearable ring is a variation on the ancient form used to denote power and status for thousands of years. The gold is polished to a matte velvet finish and a stepped ring frames the stone.
