Ancient Roman Bronze Lunula and Tourmaline Pendant
$8,000
A one-of-a-kind pendant created from an ancient Roman bronze lunula buckle brooch with original enamel (c. 200 CE). This ancient brooch, with moon forms, was first created as a useful and beautiful way to secure a cloak, with a lunula, moon-shaped form. We framed the piece in 22-karat gold, added green and blue tourmalines to complement the two millennia of patina, and suspended from a gold bail.
