Mochica

$85,800

The Mochica earrings are inspired by Pre-Columbia. The design references a common form found across ancient South American jewelry, the fan shape. The addition of pearls, in a soft golden color, is a reference to the Moche, an ancient culture from Northern Peru. The Moche created incredible turquoise and gold earplugs adorned with oversize gold spheres around the outer edge.

A faceted pear shape emerald marks a long tapered gold tube. Surrounding is a curved flat-shaped fan. 15 Golden Akoya Pearls highlight the edge. The fan shape removes, allowing the simple emerald drop to be worn on its own. 22k yellow gold.
